Jenny is a fully qualified yoga teacher who has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2008, working with absolute beginners up to advanced level students. Her teaching and practice draw from a mindful Yin Practice and Hatha Yoga tradition mixed with Ashtanga and dynamic flow to build strength and Iyengar for alignment. Yin is a tool to balance the dynamic practice, a space to soften, stretch and slow down.
Jenny’s classes encourage students to work with pranayama (breathing) and asanas (postures) to bring a balance of fitness with the calming and inner awareness of a more traditional yoga practice. Yoga is the art of living. It is a potent tool that helps inform the body and focus the mind. I believe in an accessible practice that anyone, regardless of age, experience or physical condition, can find beneficial.
Jenny trained in India for 18 months, teaching as a volunteer at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala and Madurai where she has gained the Yoga Alliance 200 hour accreditation.
Since returning to London, she has built up regular classes in East London, running retreats in the UK, organising and teaching to clients in the workplace and lucky to have established private one-2-ones with wonderful people in music, fashion and the arts.
“I love teaching yoga. It is my full-time occupation. I have experienced profound changes in mind and body since training and believe this enables me to teach from a good place and project the right attitude. I focus on being positive and encouraging, without pressurising my students to go further than they are comfortable within their own practice.”
